    Taxodium distichum

    A strikingly beautiful conifer and the most suitable for wet soils. A deciduous tree, with fine, fern-like foliage turning a spectacular yellow and orange-brown Autumn colour. New foliage is fresh green. Produces root protrusions known as 'Cypress Knees', which rise above the ground when planted in or near water.
